Anna Westerfield Wimsatt, 88, of Calhoun, KY

wimsatt CALHOUN, KY - Anna Westerfield Wimsatt, 88, of Calhoun, KY passed away Tuesday April 17, 2012 at Riverside Manor Health Care Center in Calhoun.

Anna Elizabeth Westerfield was born September 30, 1923 in Ohio County to the late Leonard Tymer & Nellie Rhea Mills Westerfield and was a member of Calhoun Baptist Church. She attended school in Hartford and later a Christian Missionary School and retired from the former Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital. Anna enjoyed flowers, watching hummingbirds, reading her Bible, listening to Christian CDs, and most of all times spent with her grand and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Leonard and James Westerfield; 2 sisters: Margaret Sanders, and Rosie Bratcher; and a great grandson, James Edwards.

Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Sharon & Hugh Carroll Dickens of Calhoun. Son and daughter-in-law; Ron & Phyllis Gipson of Birmingham, AL; 4 grandchildren: Sherral & Patrick Floyd of Calhoun, Jeremiah Gipson and Jaybee Martin of Birmingham, Erin & Adam Barksdale of Birmingham, and John Edwards of Alamogordo, NM; 5 geat grandchildren; Jacob & Samantha Floyd, Hannah Floyd, Isaac Floyd, and Zachariah Floyd, and Johnathon Edwards, Jr.; 2 sisters: Helen Moore, and Marna Gustine Pendley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Rev. Rick Wedding officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Anna’s Family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and 9:00 A.M. until time of services Friday at Musters in Calhoun.

The Anna Wimsatt Family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to The Calhoun Cemetery, Beautification Fund: C/O Windred Williams; P. O. Box 201; Calhoun, KY 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
