OWENSBORO, KY - James C. (Jackson) Abney, 61, of Livermore, KY passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Beaver Dam Nursing & Rehab. Center in Ohio County.
James Carl Abney was born July 28, 1950 in Calhoun to the late Dan & Lottie Crabtree Abney and was married to the former Melba Imogene Smith on July 28, 1996. Jackson worked at the former Charles Chips factory, was a member of the Livermore Missionary Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing golf and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Melba Abney; his mother-in-law, Linda Smith of Livermore, 4 sisters: Anna Mae Spurrier of Owensboro, Pearl Carter, Jean Ezell, and Melva J. Morris all of Calhoun; 2 brothers: Alvie Abney and Mike Abney both of Calhoun; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Fiday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Clive Bell officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore. Friends may visit with Jackson’s Family from 11:00 A.M. until time of services Friday at Musters in Livermore.
