Shirley Jean H. Cook, 81, of Utica

cook shirleyOWENSBORO, KY - Shirley Jean H. Cook, 81, of Utica formerly of Lewisport passed away on April 24, 2012 at home with her family at her side.

Shirley was born on August 12 ,1930 the daughter of the late Charlie Hughart and Clara Belle Pence Hughart, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Urey Luttrell Cook, and two brothers, James Alan Hughart, Charles Patrick Hughart.

Mrs. Cook was a member of the Lewisport Baptist Church where she attended the Dorcus Sunday School class, she enjoyed spending time with her daughter and her grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Linda Daugherty (Chet) of Utica, KY; two brothers, Hollis Hughart of Florida, and William Herman Hughart of Houghton, LA., two grandson’s Charlie Daugherty (Brandy) of Jackson, MO and Chris Daugherty of Utica; three great grandchildren, Shai, Sophie, and Levi.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cook will be held at 12:00 PM Friday April 27, 2012 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with the Bro. Pete Leach officiating with burial to follow in the Owensboro Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday April 26, 2012 and from 10:00 AM until service time on Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.

Memorial donations can be made to the Ohio County Hospice envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
