Hazel Mae Benzel, 77, of Owensboro, KY

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY - Hazel Mae Benzel, 77, of Owensboro, KY passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Owensboro. She was born September 29, 1935 in Muhlenberg County, was a homemaker and a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Bremen.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, her parents, Henry & Flora Bell Jarvis & a brother, John Jarvis.

Survivors include a son, Wade(Sherry)Benzel of Henderson, three daughters, Taryn(Leslie)Westerfield, Cheri Johnson & Lu Ann(Edward)Filbert all of Owensboro, eight grandchildren, Jesse, Joseph, Christopher, John, Kaitland, Miranda, Courtney & Cody, five great grandchildren, McKenzie, Cambroun, Kelsey Jo, Jessica & Kinslee . a brother, David(Debbie)Jarvis of Bremen, three sisters, Mary Alverez of Bremen, Lilly(Donald)Pendley & Barbara(Bobby)Jones both of Powderly.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, conducted by Rev. Billy Vincent with burial to follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Bremen. Visitation will be after 5:00 PM Monday & after 8:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
