CALHOUN, KY - Bobby D. Conrad 77, of Rumsey, Kentucky passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 at his home.
Bobby Dow Conrad was born December 26, 1934 in Rumsey, Kentucky to the late Walter and Mina Hale Conrad and was married to the former Mary Sue Drake on April 11, 1959. Bobby was a coal miner, a logger, and a member of the Rumsey United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and also enjoyed horses, coon hunting, and his weekly trips to the Amish Settlement.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Conrad, who died October 25, 1961; a granddaughter, Nicole Conrad; a brother, Sam Conrad; two sisters, Ora Lee Taylor and Norma June Young.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Sue Conrad; a son, Darrell Conrad (Pam) of Rumsey; a granddaughter, Cassie Brown and husband, Brad of Calhoun; a great grandson, Elijah Brown; two brothers, Walter Earl Conrad and Bully Conrad both of Calhoun; four sisters, Eva Bell Revlett of Bremen, Gertrude Potts of Owensboro, Wanda Conrad of North Carolina, and Dorothy Hill of Livermore; and his special namesake, Bryce Conrad Wagler.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Ken Berggren and the Rev. Tony St. Clair officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415. Friends may visit with Bobby’s Family from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until time of services Monday at Musters in Calhoun.
