Leoma M. Daly, 95, of Owensboro, Kentucky

OWENSBORO, KY - Leoma M. Daly, 95, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Sunday July 1, 2012 at Hillcrest Healthcare in Owensboro.

She was born on April 15, 1917 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late John William and Katie Easler. She retired from Glenmore Distillery after 36 years of employment. Mrs. Daly was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church and volunteered at the Soup Kitchen. She loved animals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Major Peter F. Daly on October 4, 1978.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Basham of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Misty Cravens of Owensboro and Sheena Knight and her husband Brent of Owensboro; three great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation will be on Monday from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with prayers at 5:00 p.m. Visitation Tuesday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 at the funeral home. Special thanks to the nurses and workers at Hillcrest Health Care.
