Steve R. ( Buster) Henry II, Buster

OWENSBORO, KY - Steve R. ( Buster) Henry II, Buster went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 1, 2012.

He was born in Owensboro on February 17 1983 to Steve and Vicki Henry. Buss, as his Papaw Mitchell called him, graduated from Pleasant View Baptist School in 2002 with high honors receiving the Christian Character Award. He went on to get a Criminal Justice Degree from OCTC where he was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. He attended Brescia University for two years to work on his accounting degree. He maintained a 4.0 grade point average and was on the Dean’s List. In 2009 Buster joined the Army Reserves. He did Basic Training at Fort Sill Oklahoma. He followed up with AIT training at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri and was selected to the Commandants List by achieving the top ten percent academic average on all graded exams and hands on events during Advanced Individual Training. He was awarded the Diploma for chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Specialist. Buster worked for Securitas Security Service at the Coleman Station.

Buster was preceded in death by his only nephew Lincoln freeman Henry in 2010. Grandparents Carl and Mattie Henry, Russell Allison and James ( Toby) Mitchell.

He is survived by his parents Steve and Vicki Henry of Reynolds Station KY. One brother John ( Christin) Henry of Hardinsburg. His sweet little niece, his pride and joy, Ireland Claire Henry of Hardinsburg. Two sisters; Fawn ( Dan) Henry of Reynolds Station and Mattie Henry of Reynolds Stations. Also his Nana, Maggie Fulkerson Allison of Owensboro.

Buster leaves behind several best friends; James Payne, Brandon Morris, Jacob Hall, McKinley Jenkins, Keith Voyles, Josh Durden, The Calloway Boys and Little Bobby Arnold. Many aunts , uncles and cousins.

Our son loved his Church family. He was a faithful and Godly young man, loved by all. His Church was his life. He played the guitar and piano for the Lord and always spent time in his Bible. Our family will not be the same without you Bubby. We love you and we will see you soon in heaven.

Funeral Services for will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Pleasant View Baptist Church in McQuady, KY. Friends may call to the Glenn Funeral Home on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 2:00PM until 8:00PM. There also will be visitiation at Pleasant View Baptist Church from 12:00 PM Friday until time of service at 2:00PM on Friday. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
