OWENSBORO, KY - Theodore Gillim, 79, of Island, Kentucky passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 at his home in Island. Claude Theodore Gillim was born March 29, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Wilbur and Evah Wood Gillim and was married to the former Phyllis Ray Hall on June 14, 1958. Theodore was a retired auto technician and attended the Island Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Island Lodge #743 F. & A.M. and enjoyed golfing.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Phyllis Gillim; two sons, Nick W. Gillim and wife, Jill of Taylor, Michigan and James W. Gillim of Flatrock, Michigan; two daughters, Laquita Village and husband, Dennis of Trenton, Michigan and Claudette Mick and husband, Alan of South Rockwood, Michigan; 11 grandchildren; a great grandson; two brothers, Bill Gillim of Taylor and Norman "Tinker" Gillim of Sturgis, Oklahoma; and two sisters, Mary Mudge of Taylor and Shirley McMasters of Clinton, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Chad Rafferty officiating. Burial will be in the Island Community Cemetery in McLean County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veteran of Foreign Wars Memorial Post # 5415. Friends may visit with Theodore’s Family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until time of services Monday at Musters in Livermore. Masonic Services for Theodore will be held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Musters in Livermore.
