Bryant Stiles 55, of Calhoun, KY

OWENSBORO, KY - Bryant Stiles, 55, of  Calhoun, KY passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the University of KY Medical Center in Lexington.

Robert Bryant Stiles was born December 5, 1956 in Owensboro, KY to Robert Louis and Mary Edwina Tanner Stiles, and was married to the former Cherie Ann Gilmore on February 10, 1979. Bryant received his Business Degree from KY Wesleyan College, was the Director of State Fire Rescue Training and Homeland Security exercise program, earlier worked as a loan officer at the former Cardinal Federal Bank in Owensboro, and attended Calhoun Baptist Church. He joined the McLean County Central District Fire Department in 1974, served as the Fire Chief, and was currently serving as the Assistant Fire Chief. Bryant was a member of the KY Firefighters Association, served as the treasurer, was a member of the National Volunteer Fire Council, served on committees with the National Fire Protection Association, was a member of the North America Fire Training Directors Association, and was inducted on July 31, 2012 into the KY Firefighters Association Hall of Fame. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with both them and
his friends.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Cherie Stiles; two daughters, Christin Brown and husband, Thomas of Livermore and Hannah Stiles of Calhoun; a grandson, Clay Thomas Brown; his parents, Bobby and Edwina Stiles of Calhoun; and a brother, Michael Stiles and wife, Kim of Rumsey.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Calhoun Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Sams officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Bryant's Family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 10:30 A.M. until time of services Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.

The Bryant Stiles Family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the McLean County Central District Fire Department; P.O. Box 421; Calhoun, KY 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
