Jessie Lee Arnold, 86, of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Jessie Lee Arnold, 86, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, at her home surrounded by her children. She was born on April 27, 1926 in Reynolds Station, KY to the late Arnold and Alma Rearden Keown. She was raised from the age of 2 by her maternal grandparents, Lemuel and Catherine Rearden. She was of the Baptist faith. She retired from G.E. after 20 years. She and her husband, Joe Billy, owned and operated KY Barbeque for 5 years. She worked at The Laundry Room for 21 years. Jessie enjoyed reading, her flowers, going to yard sales, U K Basketball and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Billy Arnold; a son, Jody Lee Arnold; and her great-grandsons, Jacob Short and Kole and Keaton Duncan.

Surviving are a son, Billy (Cheryl) Arnold of Owensboro; daughters, Vicki (Larry) Blair of Hatfield, IN and Tonja (Billy) Hall of Lewisport; seven grandchildren, Heather (Brent) Hampton of Lexington, Neil (Brooke) Arnold of Louisville, Christina (Rich) Short of Greencastle, PA, Joshua Williams of Rockport, IN, Shanna (Brad Stepp) Hall of New Salisbury, IN, Jessica Hall and Sarah (Kyle) Duncan of Lewisport; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Keown of Bowling Green; a sister, Catherine VanVactor of Lewisport; half-brothers, Norman and Frankie Keown of Indiana; half-sisters, Betty Gaynor, Shirley Flake, Joyce Vangrift of Hawesville and Connie Goatley of Cloverport; a sister-in-law, Virgie Hines of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00a.m. until 11:00a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Western KY, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301. Thank you for all you did for Mom.
