Catherine Jewell 88, of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Catherine Jewell 88, of Owensboro, KY, formerly of Comer made her journey home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at her home in Owensboro. Annie Catherine Bartley was born September 15, 1924 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Roscoe Herman and Elizabeth Jennings Bartley and was married to Roy Carl Jewell on December 12, 1940. Catherine retired from General Electric of Owensboro and was a member of the Good Shepherd Church in Owensboro and was earlier a member of the Beech Grove Christian Church. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and growing her flowers.

In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Carl Jewell, who passed away November 27, 2005 and by a brother, Hansford Bartley.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Carl R. and Pat Jewell of Comer; a daughter and her husband, Cathy and Bill Stinnett of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Tim Jewell, Curtis Simpson, and Angie Lilly; 3 great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; and three sisters, Viola Barton, Mary Payne, and Wanda Powers all of Evansville.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. John Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Catherine's family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 11:30 A.M. until time of services Thursday at Musters in Calhoun.
