Frederick Eugene (Rick) Goetz, Jr., 52

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Frederick Eugene (Rick) Goetz, Jr., 52 of Richmond, VA. passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 as result of an automobile accident in Richmond.

Born in Owensboro and a graduate of Owensboro High School, he was employed by Brookdale Senior Living as Maintenance Technician in Richmond, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Eugene Goetz and Agnes Jean Dunbar Goetz.

He is survived by his siblings Debra Lynn Goetz Hendrix (Daniel) of Owensboro, Michael Goetz of Bowling Green, KY and Brian Goetz (Heather) of St. Louis, MO, 2 nephews, 6 nieces and one great-niece and his Richmond "family" and friends. He is also survived by a man's best friend, his dog Killer.

Rick loved spending time with his family and friends, U.K. Basketball, throwing darts and being outdoors; especially canoeing and camping on the James River.

His memorial prayer service will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro, with Reverend Father Tony Jones officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Condolence messages may be sent at www.davisfuneralhome.com
