Gale Cravens 59, of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Gale Cravens 59, of Owensboro, KY passed away Monday, April 1, 2013, at his home in Owensboro. Homer Gale Cravens was born June 30, 1953 in Daviess County, KY to the late George and Loraine Furgerson Cravens, was married to the former Connie Gail Tomes on June 3, 2000, and was also known as the "Wise Old Buck" by his family and friends. Gale retired from Southwire of Lewisport, was an avid outdoorsman, loved music, and also enjoyed riding his tractor, hunting, fishing, and spending time with both his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Gale was preceded in death by a brother, Ernie Cravens and a sister, Linda Jernigan.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Cravens; four daughters, Alonda and Chris Imbruglio of Morgantown, Lori and Terry Tuggle of Henderson, Amy and Nick Severs of Hawesville, and Winona Carden of Owensboro; a son and his wife, Josh and Melissa Cravens of Lewisport; seven grandchildren, Kelsie, Zachary, Cameron, Devin, McKenzie, Hunter, and Carter; a brother, James Cravens of Fordsville; three sisters, Brenda Spain of Whitesville, Jean Lucas of Sebree, and Wanda Banks of Lewisport; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Pastor Oda Shouse officiating. Burial will be in the Station Baptist Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Gale's family from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 9:00 A.M. until time of services Thursday at Musters in Calhoun.

The Gale Cravens family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gale Cravens, Memorial Fund; C/O Muster Funeral Homes; P.O. Box 160; Calhoun, KY 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
