Kenneth Clay Drake, 75, of Ocala, Florida

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Kenneth Clay Drake, 75, of Ocala, Florida passed away Monday, April 1 2013. He was born August 4, 1937 in Beaver Dam, KY to the late Vera Shields Drake and Estill Clay Drake. Ken, a United States Air Force veteran, lived and worked in Owensboro, KY at the Owensboro Grain Company. He and his wife of forty years, the late Linda Sullivan Drake, retired to Ocala, Florida where he enjoyed gardening, golfing, staying current with the latest technology, tinkering with projects and repairs, and watching basketball games of his beloved KY Wildcats and Florida Gators. Throughout his life, he loved spending time with his family on vacations. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Lauren Nicole Williams.

He is survived by his brother, William James; his sister, Anne Crowe; his daughter, Cindy Caudle; his son, Gary Drake; and three grandsons, who were his pride and joy, Tyler, Ryan, and Christian Drake.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro, KY. Visitation will begin after 9:00 am on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Kenneth's memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave., 7th Fl., New York, NY 10001.
