Car Overturns on US 62 West

rollover acc2GREENVILLE, Ky. (4/4/13) – On Thursday, April 4, at approximately 11:00 AM, the Kentucky State Police, Greenville Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS responded to a report of a possible accident with injuries just outside the Greenville City limits on US 62 West.

Once on the scene, responders found that 26-year-old Joseph Cahoe, of Drakesboro was operating a 1997 Buick eastbound, just west of Greenville. As Cahoe was negotiating a curve, the rear tires of Cahoe’s Buick lost traction with the roadway. Cahoe’s vehicle crossed the center line and exited the roadway. Cahoe’s Buick then struck an embankment, overturned and came to final rest on its top.

Both Cahoe and his passenger, a 17-year-old female, were transported to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Trooper Jerry Knight was assisted at the scene by the Muhlenberg County EMS, Greenville Fire Department and Trooper Jarrod Hearld.
