Donnie Howell 62, of Island, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Donnie Howell 62, of Island, KY passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at his home in Island. Donald Ray Howell was born November 20, 1950 in Buttonsberry, KY to William Foster and Minnie Mae Ford Howell and was married to the former Marsha Ellen Davis on December 5, 1997. Donnie was a sawyer for Smith Brothers Lumber Company in Hartford and an associate pastor for the Christ Tabernacle in Buttonsberry. He loved music, playing both the guitar and banjo.

Donnie was preceded in death by his father, William Howell; by a step son, Robbie Barber; and by two brothers, Pete Howell and Bubby Howell.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Howell; three sons, Donnie Howell of Island, David Howell of Buttonsberry, and David Buccanan of Evansville; three daughters, Kelley Long of Calhoun, Lynette Howell of Livermore, and Erica Howell of Buttonsberry; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; his mother, Minnie Howell of Livermore; three brothers, Bob Howell of Buttonsberry, Darrell Howell of Hartford, and Tom Howell of Powderly; and four sisters, Wilma Smith of Livermore, Jenny Dunn of Todd County, Barb Gardner of Buttonsberry, and Sherry Wells of Powderly.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Barney Priar officiating. Burial will be in the Island Baptist Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Donnie's family from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Saturday and from 11:00 A.M. until time of services Sunday at Musters in Livermore.

The Donnie Howell family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Donnie Howell, Memorial Fund; C/O Muster Funeral Homes; P.O. Box 228; Livermore, KY 42352. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Livermore.
