Barbara Alice Hazelwood Williamson, 73, of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Barbara Alice Hazelwood Williamson, 73, of Owensboro, KY passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the home of her granddaughter and caregiver surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 3, 1939, in Daviess County to the late Louis and Tiny Conkright Hazelwood and was raised up by her grandparents John El & Ida Conkright. She was of the Catholic faith. She was retired from Sign Crafters. She enjoyed fishing.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Bill Pate in 1976; a son William Earl Pate in 2000; a grandson, Jeremy E. Pate in 1998.

She is survived by a daughter Terrie Pate Reeves; an adopted daughter Summer Williamson Cowan; three grandchildren James (Tabitha) Cowan, Allison Gardner (Jhoni) Pina, David (Nikki) Cowan; ten great-grandchildren; six brothers, Louis Hazelwood of Campbellsville South Carolina, Harold (Margaret) Hazelwood, Pat (Culette) Hazelwood, Sam Hazelwood, Mike (Norma) Hazelwood and Tommy Hazelwood; five sisters, Thelma (Clarence) Watson of Owensboro, Pauline (Dennis) Gibson of Henderson, Wanda Evans of Owensboro, Sue (Norris) Dodson of Evansville, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date. Visitation will be private. Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Barbara Williamson Memorial Fund, c/o Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home, 519 Locust Street, Owensboro, KY 42301. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
