Vicki L. Peay, 56, of Reed, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Vicki L. Peay, 56, of Reed, KY passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, IN. She was born June 24, 1956 in Hickman County, KY, to the late Norval "Smokey" & Theda Howard Hamlet. She was a member of New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church. She received an Associate Degree from Daymar College in 2012, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Johnny Earl Bugg, Sr. in 2000; two brothers, Wendell Hamlet and Charles Hamlet; her sister, June Gravett; and a step-grandchild, Emily Donner.

She is survived by her husband, Aubrey "Joe" Peay; two sons, Johnny Earl (Heather) Bugg, Jr. of Boonville, IN and Barry Allen ( Crystal) Bugg of Evansville, IN; three stepsons, Ricky Peay, Roy "Mike" Downey and Tony Downey; two stepdaughters, Joni Peay and Lori Jones; two grandchildren; Brock Bugg and Brodie Bugg; six step-grandchildren, Noah Donner, Lamanda Peay, Lisa Peay, Isaac Peay, Casandra Kahn, and Veronica Jones; four step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Hamlet and Larry Hamlet; and four sisters, Anita Underwood, Doris Tomes, Donna Durham and Linda Hicks.

Services are 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial is in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Reed, KY. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Anthony Hospice, 2410 So. Green Street, Henderson, KY 42420.
