Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Huffman, 92, of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Huffman, 92, of Owensboro, KY passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Transcendent Health Care in Boonville, IN. She was born on March 28, 1921 in Daviess Co., KY to the late Benjamin and Bertha Karns O’Bryan. She was a homemaker and had been a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Women’s Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed playing bingo, decorating her home, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Liz was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Lee Huffman on December 10, 2000, two sons, Bennie Huffman in 1943 and Johnnie Huffman on October 30, 2000, two grandsons, Michael Benjamin Hernon on December 13, 2010 and Johnnie Huffman, Jr. on October 31, 1967, and a daughter-in-law, Claudia Huffman on June 12, 2006.

Surviving are three sons, Bob Huffman and wife Nancy of Boonville, Danny Huffman and wife Ali of Owensboro, and Rick Huffman of New Harmony, IN, two daughters, Bonnie Hernon and husband Mike of Martin, TN and Vicki Wallace of Owensboro, 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Services will be 5:00 P.M. Sunday, April 14 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Graveside services will be private in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Online condolences may be placed at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
