William Doyle Atchison, 97, of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - William Doyle Atchison, 97, of Owensboro, KY passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Kindred Transitional Care/Hillcrest in Owensboro. He was born October 15, 1915 in Arkansas to the late Thomas and Lola Atchison. He retired after 25 years of employment with Thompson Homes and was a member of Richland Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Ulmer Atchison on June 13, 2008; a brother, Lester Atchison; sisters, Vida Westbrook, Ethel Mitchell, Maurine Mills and Bessie Lee Burnett all of Benton, AR and a son-in-law, Larry Trogden.

He is survived by his daughter, Guinn Trogden of Livia, KY; grandchildren, Steve (Angie) Trogden and Tim Trogden both of Livia, KY and Jon (Betsy) Trogden of Bowling Green; six great-grandchildren, Zack, Whitney, Hannah, Aaron, Will and Noah; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation or service. James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro, KY is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Gideons International, P.O. Box 1133, Owensboro, KY 42302.
