Willie Dennis, 63, of Owensboro KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Willie Dennis, 63, of Owensboro KY, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his home. He was born January 7, 1950 in Owensboro to the late Columbus and Irene Harrison Dennis. He was retired from Titan Contactors after 20 years and was a member of McLean County Fish & Game and was of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed fishing and especially enjoyed his family.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Keller and two brothers, Jessie Dennis and Russell Dennis.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rachel Dennis, a son, Marty E. Dennis, a daughter, Tammy (Terry) Rhineburger, both of Owensboro, two grandchildren Colton J. Dennis and Ashley Marie Rhineburger, two brothers, Charles Dennis, Robert Dennis both of Owensboro, two sisters, Becky (Billy) Daugherty of Owensboro, Christine (Bear) Evans of Hartford and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with Brother David Jones officiating and burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home and from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Willie Dennis Memorial Fund, c/o Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home, 519 Locust Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
