Micah Lee Griffith, 21, of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Micah Lee Griffith, 21, of Owensboro, KY, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013, in Livermore, KY.

He was born July 29, 1991 in Owensboro. Micah loved playing basketball. He was an avid UK and NBA fan, and always preferred watching a basketball game with his mom.

He is survived by his mother, Tammy Atkinson Chappell; his father, Wendell Lee Griffith Jr.; one brother, Benjamin Griffith at home; one sister, Leah Marks of Owensboro; maternal grandparents Jim and Margie Atkinson of Livermore; two nephews and one niece, Matthew, Gabriel, and Savannah; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services are 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Daviess Co, KY.

Visitation is from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
