Vickie Lynn Ridings Hawkins, 59, of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Vickie Lynn Ridings Hawkins, 59, of Owensboro, KY passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013. She was born March 8, 1954 in Owensboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Mac Ridings; and a brother, James Anthony "Tony" Ridings.

Vickie was the owner and operator of Tender Touch Grooming. She loved her job and her loyal customers. Vickie loved her family and cooking and she put them together as often as she could. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend and will be greatly missed.

Vickie is survived by her daughter, April Myers of Owensboro; grandchildren, Jonathan Fenwick of Owensboro and Chelsea, Luke and Nick Myers all of Charleston, IN; a great grandson, Jonathan Patrick Fenwick; a great granddaughter, Katie Nolan; sisters, Patsy Head and Maxine Rhoads (Michael) both of Owensboro and Janet Dykes of Little Rock AR; brothers, Dennis Lawson (Pat) and Jerry Ridings both of Owensboro and David Lawson (Carolyn) of Elizabeth City, NC; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services are 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 9:00 -11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Vickie Hawkins Memorial Fund, c/o 3009 Frederica St., Owensboro, KY 42301.
