OWENSBORO, Ky. - Marjorie D. Cirrincione, 92, of Owensboro, KY passed away, Friday, April 26, 2013 at Hillcrest/Kindred Transitional Care. She was born May 5, 1920 in Daviess County, KY to the late Henry and Pearl Donovan.
She was of the Methodist Faith and a graduate of Owensboro Business College. Marjorie left Owensboro in 1942 with her husband Joe, who was with the United States Coast Guard stationed in New York. After WWII they moved to Joe's home town in Kansas City, MO. This is where she began her secretarial career with Trans World Airlines. She was the executive secretary to the Vice President of Operations at TWA. After 20 years she left there to pursue a career in court reporting, When Joe passed away in 1966 she and her son, Don returned to Owensboro where she worked as a court reporter in State and District Courts, and eventually established a free lance court reporting service. She retired as an Evansville U.S. District court reporter. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Cirrincione on April 3, 1966, her sister, Marietta Smith, and her brother, Gerald Donovan.
Survivors include her son, Don Cirrincione of Owensboro, three grandchildren, Kristi, Joseph, and Ashley and five great grandchildren, three nephews, Robert (Jane) Smith of Owensboro, Bernie Smith, of FL, Bennie Donovan of Owensboro, two nieces, Peggy Wade of Owensboro, Roxie (Bert) Sarty of NC, and a great niece, Deborah Smith Hill of Louisville.
Services are 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Friday in Mount Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 on Wednesday at the funeral home.
