Golda L. Rorer, 87 of Gary, Indiana

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Golda L. Rorer, 87 of Gary, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Rorer and her parents, Melvin and Ethel Long.

She was retired from Inland Steel with 40 years of service. Golda was a very loving and active grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley(Tom)Smith; three granddaughters: Melissa Lanman, Christine Tucker and Elizabeth(Adam)Sult; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Sherman(Viola)Long; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am. Monday at Chapel of Peace, Rosehill Cemetery. Brother Tim Hall will officiate. There will be no public visitation. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home are in charge of all arrangements.
