Louise Pennington, 92, formerly of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Louise Pennington, 92, formerly of Owensboro, KY passed away May 5, 2013 at The Rathbone in Evansville, IN. She was born August 12, 1920 in Bowling Green, KY to the late Frank and Nellie Atchley. She retired as the owner and operator of Pennington Baldwin Piano Store. She was a past member of Third Baptist Church, where she was a teacher of the Vota Vita Sunday school class, and was also a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Evansville. She was a member of the Womens Missionary Society and of the Homemakers Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Allen C. Pennington on July 16, 2008; by a son, Rudy Pennington on October 13, 2002; by a grandson, Michael Wayne Pennington on January 15, 1995; and by a sister, Anna Myrle Wilson.

She is survived by a son, Gary Pennington (Peggy) of Evansville, IN; two granddaughters, Penny Pennington (Darrell) and Tabitha Baker (Steven); five great grandchildren, Jacqueline, Charlie, Indica, Michael and Alex; a brother, Horace Atchley of Louisville and two sisters, Clara Reiter and Virgie Grimes both of Bowling Green, KY.

Services are 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Gideons International, P.O. Box 1133, Owensboro, KY 42302.
