Emily E. Eddington, 90, of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Emily E. Eddington, 90, of Owensboro, KY passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at her home.

She was born June 26, 1922 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late John Thomas and Mary Lyons. Emily was a very special Christian lady and a homemaker, who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved animals especially dogs. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds, and she enjoyed T.V., her favorite shows were the Golden Girls, Wheel of Fortune, and the nightly news. Emily was a wonderful lady who was loved by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Eddington, and sister, Mary Louise Lanham.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Eddington Taylor and Mae Eddington Embry both of Owensboro; a son, William "Bill" L. Eddington, Jr. (Kime) of San Diego, CA; eight grandchildren, Tony Eddington, Ben Eddington, Bobby Eddington, Crystal Patton (Chris), April Eddington, Angela Shofstall, Hope Keown and Amber Keown; and eleven great grandchildren, Anthony, Chase, Connor, Kirsten, Hillary, Ashton, Kaylee, Jayden, Kaylen, Kendra and Bryson, one niece, Pat Williamson (Neal), and two nephews, Bobby Lanham (Dee) and Denny Lanham (Katrina), and great neice, Melissa Lanham.

Services are 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial is in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro.

Visitation is from 10:00-1:00 on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Emily Eddington Memorial Fund, 3009 Frederica St., Owensboro, KY 42301.
