Robert E. (Bob) Basham, 55, of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Robert E. (Bob) Basham, 55, of Owensboro, KY passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, at his home. He was born on July 23, 1957 in Daviess County, KY to the late Kenneth and Mary Jean Basham. He worked at Zion United Church of Christ, and was an Army Veteran. Bob enjoyed UK basketball, Nascar, playing the harmonica, and he loved barbequing with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Wayne Basham on March 28, 2013.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Betty "Sis" Basham; two daughters, Christina Basham, and Angela Trogden (Steve); one son, Robb Basham; two grandchildren, Hannah and Aaron Trodgen; one brother, Kenneth Basham (Sue); two sisters, Sheila Rayman (Dean), and Nancy Shelton (David); one sister-in-law, Bonnie Basham; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 3:30 Sunday May 19, 2013, at Zion United Church of Christ, 625 Allen Street, Owensboro. Visitation will be at 3:00 Sunday at the church. Immediately following the service there will be a reception in the Fellowship Hall. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Bob Basham Memorial Fund, 418 Reid Road, Lot 2, Owensboro, KY 42303.
