Beatrice Speak Worthington, 91, of Jacksonville, FL

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Beatrice Speak Worthington, 91, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Monday, May 13, 2013. She was born February 19, 1922 in Owensboro to the late Rev. Henry T. and Flossie (Early) Speak. Beatrice retired as a secretary for Mercury Records in Chicago, IL and was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Burress Worthington on August 27, 2001.

She is survived by her nephews, Carroll Stevens of Mill Valley, CA, Mike Staples and Pat Staples of Rock Island, IL, Bill Nash of Grand Rivers, KY, Jeff Nash of Paducah, KY; her great nieces, Vicky Hulsberg of Jacksonville, FL and Sherry Boggs of Fort Knox, KY; and her great nephews, Anthony Brooks, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ and Duke Williams of Shelbyville, IN.

Services are 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2013, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in the Worthington Family Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Gifts of remembrance may be made to the Northeast Florida Community Hospice Foundation, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
