Janice Ruth (Jan) Roll Burris, 68 of Owensboro, KY

2flowerOWENSBORO, Ky. - Janice Ruth (Jan) Roll Burris, 68 of Owensboro, KY passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Twin Rivers Nursing home. Jan was born August 23, 1944 in Muhlenberg County to Earlean Vincent. She was raised by her grandparents, Jack and Addie Vincent. Jan loved to travel and enjoyed being with her family and friends who she loved dearly. She would do anything for anyone who needed her help.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, James Andrew (Andy) Roll, her mother and step father Earlean and Carl A. Locke Sr., three brothers, JR Lyle, Frank Locke, Marvin Lee Gidcumb.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Rural Kelly Burris, her daughters, Kim (Rob) Sanders of Owensboro, Kyla (Kenny) Hicks of Monticello, Kentucky, sons, Anthony (Penny) Burris, of Monticello, Kentucky, Donald (Sarah) Burris of Owensboro, granddaughters, Kelly (Billie Joe) Blake, Nevie Jane Roll, Kaylee Burris, grandsons, Cody Burris, Zachary Burris, Willie Chaplin, great grandsons, Dalton, Sebastion, Blake, five brothers, Tommy Lyle, Butch (Becky) Locke, Phil (Debbie) Locke, Charles Locke, Russell (Leo) Locke, one sister, Carol Sue (Jack) Jackson and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends and a special caregiver, Jayleen.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with burial to follow in Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home and from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
