OWENSBORO, Ky. - Dean Trunnell Thomas 78, of Island, KY went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 7, 2013 at her home in Island. Vivian Dean Bowman was born July 20, 1934 in McLean County, KY to the late James Hilary and Frances Bates Bowman, was married to Dowell Trunnell until his death on February 7, 1979, was married to Joseph Ray Thomas on November 18, 1983, and was known to everyone as Dean or Momma Dean. Dean was a homemaker and a member of the Island United Methodist Church. She loved her family and friends unconditionally, loved to read, watch her soap operas, and cook.
In addition to her parents, Dean was preceded in death by her first husband, Dowell Trunnell; by a brother, A.C. Bowman; and by two grandsons, Scotty Hale and Jimmy Doepp.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Ray Thomas; a son, Danny Trunnell of Livermore; three daughters, Kaye Daugherty of Livermore, Genia Boyken of Island, and Jennifer Bullock of Central City; a step son, Hugh Thomas of Seymour, Indiana; a step daughter, Brandie Caine of Dixon; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; three brothers, Dale Bowman of Louisville, Harold Bowman of Virginia, and Lee Bowman of West Virginia; and three sisters, Ann Bowman of New York, Judy Morris of Owensboro, and Mary Tosante of Louisville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Graham officiating. Burial will be in the Worthington Chapel Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Dean's family from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until time of services Monday at Musters in Livermore.
