Edward Lee Tunget 82, of Owensboro, KY

eagleOWENSBORO, Ky. - Edward Lee Tunget 82, of Owensboro, KY passed away Monday June 17, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Edward Lee Tunget was born August 23, 1930 in Calhoun to the late Dave Tunget & Jennie Berry Tunget and was a Korean War Veteran. Edward was a member a past trustee of Calhoun United Methodist Church, a carpenter, former McLean County Jailer and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and playing pool at the Elizabeth Munday Senior Center. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn Miller Tunget on 8-14-1996 and a son-in-law Jimmie Davis on 10-31-2005.

Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Edna Yancey Tunget; a son Gary & Mary Lisa Tunget of Owensboro; three daughters, Janice & Roger Rice of Benton, Karen Davis of Sacramento, and Cheryl & Bob Purdy of Owensboro; 4 granddaughters; Jennifer Fisk, Hannah Goins, Megan Purdy, and Kelsi Purdy, and a great grandson Ethan Fisk.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Ken Berggren officiating. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with Edward's family from 10:00 A.M. until time of services Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.

The Edward Lee Tunget family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Calhoun United Methodist Church; P.O. Box 65; Calhoun, KY 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
