OWENSBORO, Ky. - Ocie Miller, age 81, of Owensboro, Ky passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 4, 1932 in Lewisport, KY to the late Annie Sue(Johnson) Butler and William Miller.
He retired from Daviess County Road Department after 35 of service. He loved playing Bingo and his grand kids.
He is preceded in death by his life companion of more than 60 years, Sue Price, five brothers, Jessie White, Howard Lowery, Cecil, Clyde Jr., and Woodrow Butler, two sisters, Clara Douglas and Sarah Green.
He leaves to cherish his memory, four daughters, Anna , Carrie, Grace Miller all of Owensboro and Donna Miller of Evansville; three sons, Ocie Leon Miller of Owensboro, Charles Miller of Lexington, and Lawrence McHenry of Henderson; 3 grandchildren, Leandra Miller of Bowling Green, Joshua Miller of Owensboro, and Deandra Wright of Evansville; one great daughter DeAnna Coates, one sister, Mabel (Burnell) Hamilton of Lewisport; one sister-in-law, Fransetta Butler of Evansville. Close friends Calvin Ray, Janet, and David Ray Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Larry Lewis conducting services. Interment will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 2 until 6p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Association.
