Carl Wayne Rice, Sr., 57, of Owensboro, KY

obit-sunrisetreeOWENSBORO, Ky. - Carl Wayne Rice, Sr., 57, of Owensboro, KY passed away Monday, June 24th at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born December 19, 1955 in Daviess County. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines Corps. Carl enjoyed shooting pool and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Rice and a son Christopher Rice.

Survivors include his sons, Carl Rice, Jr. and Patrick Shane Rice; his daughter, Candice Dawn Rice; his mother and stepfather, Mary and Bill Greenwell; and three brothers, Ricky Rice, Ronnie Rice and Harold Greenwell.

Military Honors will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at KY Veterans Cemetery West, 5817 Fort Campbell Blvd., Hopkinsville, KY. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Carl Wayne Rice, Sr. Memorial Fund.
