OWENSBORO, Ky. - Frank Lewis Ramsey, 65, of Masonville, KY passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the University of Louisville Medical Center due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident that occurred on June 19 at Philpot, KY. He was born on July 4, 1947 in Columbus, GA to the late Frank Lewis and Hazel Grant Ramsey. He retired as an independent contractor for Admiral Merchants Motor Freight. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, boating, cooking and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Lawrence James Holmes and by a great grandchild, Skye Marie Wade.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janice Ramsey; two daughters, Marie Carver (Paul) of Cookeville, TN and Victoria Captain of Knoxville, TN; a son, Thomas Ramsey of Utica; four grandchildren, Chelsea McManaway of Utica, Jacob Carver and Austin Carver both of Cookeville, TN and Katie Rose of Maryville, TN; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Services are 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro with burial to follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sorgho, KY. Visitation is from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m-12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
