Gloria Huskisson Sweeney, 75, of Owensboro, Ky

5flowerOWENSBORO, Ky. - Gloria Huskisson Sweeney, 75, of Owensboro, Ky passed away Thursday, July 04, 2013 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center-Hillcrest. She was born in Daviess County on April 22, 1938 to the late A.A. Huskisson and Martha Godsey Huskisson. She worked as a secretary and an aide with the Owensboro Board of Education and was a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church and attended Apollo Heights Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gaither Sweeney.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John and Cindy Young of Owensboro; two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Joey Hodge of LaVergne, TN and Beth and Chris Cox of Ramona, California; five grandchildren, Bryson Young, Robbie Dalbec, Hunter Fitzgerald, Jaycee Young and Cassidy Cox; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Barney and Shirley Huskisson and Tensley and Barbara Huskisson; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Memorial services will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday with visitation from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Sunday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.
