She was director of food services at Maple Mount (1980-84), a teacher at Mount Saint Joseph Academy (1967-68) and a teacher at St. Mary of the Woods School, Whitesville (1977-80). She also taught in Waverly and in the Archdiocese of Louisville.
Survivors include her sister, Betty Lou Abel, of Jacksonville, Fla., her brother-in-law Mike Cecil, Chicago, nieces and nephews and the members of her religious community.
