Helen Bishop Lumpkins, 84, of Owensboro, KY

skyOWENSBORO, Ky. - Helen Bishop Lumpkins, 84, of Owensboro, KY passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born August 26, 1928 in New Orleans, LA to the late Homer Daniel and Naomi Ruth Bishop. She was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, George A. Lumpkins on July 22, 1996 and by a sister, Evelyn Westmoreland.

She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Lumpkins of Owensboro; brother-in-law, Clyde Westmoreland of Louisville, KY and nephew, Edward (Cheri) Westmoreland of Farmington, NM.

Services and entombment are 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2013, at Owensboro Memorial Gardens Chapel. James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Helen Lumpkins Memorial Fund, 3009 Frederica St., Owensboro, KY 42301.
