OWENSBORO, Ky. - Bobby Earl Felty, 45, of Lewisport, KY passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Waupaca Foundry in Tell City, Indiana. He was born on October 25, 1967 in Owensboro, Ky. He was an Ironworker employed by Union Local 103. He had played Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball as a child. He was an Army veteran of the 101st Airborne Division, who was awarded the Asian Pacific medal for his service during Desert Storm. He was a member of Apollo Heights Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, Nascar racing and barbecuing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Paula Marie Felty and grandparents, Jack and Ernie Felty, Jimmy Breslin and Wilma Bennett.
He is survived by his wife of ten years, Tara Felty; children, Lindsey Felty, Tiffany Devins, Dillon Devins and Timmy Pointer all of Owensboro; a grandson, Carter Lee; his father, Royce Felty of Owensboro; two sisters, Linda Kaye Ralph and her husband, Timothy and Donna Lynn Felty Roberts both of Owensboro; a brother-in-law, Clint Reynolds of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews and a cousin, Susie Lewis.
Services are 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
