Thomas Allen Rowe, Jr., 83, of Owensboro, KY

6sunsetOWENSBORO, Ky. - Thomas Allen Rowe, Jr., 83, of Owensboro, KY passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born January 15, 1930 in Elkhart, IN to the late Bernice Evangeline and Thomas A. Rowe, Sr. For 24 years, he was co-owner and operator of Rowe Scrap Metals, along with his son, Blake. He had been a member of First Presbyterian Church since 1955.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Nan Tompkins Rowe; sons, Blake Rowe, Sr. (Janice Henry Rowe) of Owensboro and Brent Rowe (Libby Simon) of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Blake Rowe, Jr. of Bloomington, IN and John Brent Rowe (Sara) of Maryville, TN; great grandchildren, Blake Rowe, III "Trey" and Elizabeth Rowe; a brother, Samuel Charles Rowe (Carol) of Murietta, CA; several nieces and nephews and an aunt, Margaret Kendall (Forest) of Nappanee, IN.

Memorial services are 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church in Owensboro. There will be no visitation. James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to First Presbyterian Church, 1328 Griffith Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42301 or to Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club, 3415 Buckland Square, Owensboro, KY 42301.
