George Douglas Pruden, 94, of Owensboro, Ky

3sunsetOWENSBORO, Ky. - George Douglas Pruden, 94, of Owensboro, Ky passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013. He was born February 23, 1919 in Daviess County, Ky. to the late George and Christine Merritt Pruden. He was a member of Sorgho Baptist Church and a WWII Veteran. He enjoyed farming, gardening, being with his family and reading the Bible.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Gregory Pruden (2008), two brothers, Delmar Pruden, Owen Pruden and two sisters, Jean Pruden and Kay Bosley.

Surviving are three sons, John (Nancy) Pruden, David (Kathy) Pruden, Gary (Ann) Pruden, all of Owensboro, five grandchildren, Linda Ann Burden, Casey Pruden, Martin Pruden, Jordan Pruden, Kyle Pruden and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10:00am. Friday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with Brother Larry Birkhead officiating.

Visitation will be at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00pm Thursday and from 8:00 to 10:00am. Friday.
