Nancy Brown Andrews, 71, of Owensboro, KY

obit5OWENSBORO, Ky. - On July 22, 2013, Nancy Brown Andrews, 71, of Owensboro, KY triumphantly entered her home in Glory to be welcomed by her precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Nancy was greeted by her parents, W.A. and Louise Pennington, brothers, Billy Pennington and Donald Brown, along with numerous other loved ones.

Nancy's going home is being celebrated by her husband of 51 years, Gable "Andy/Pineapple" Andrews; daughters, Leilani Andrews Owens (Jeff) of Chesapeake, VA and Mele Andrews Baize (David) of Irmo, SC; grandchildren, Jacob Owens and Amber Owens of Chesapeake, VA, Brandon Baize and Megan Baize or Irmo, SC; great-grandsons, Trevor Owens of Lancaster, CA, Aiden Owens and Jameson Sullivan of Chesapeake, VA; sister, "Goldie" Beverly Payne (Charlie) of Owensboro, KY; brother, Charles Brown (Carolyn) of Newport, NC; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nancy was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Owensboro. She enjoyed volunteering at O.M.H.S. for many years and was past Volunteer Auxiliary President and also a member of R.S.V.P. She always had a smile on her face and enjoyed spreading sunshine throughout the hospital. She also enjoyed working at Goldie's Opry House, where she made many lifelong friends. Nancy was retired from sales and loved traveling with her husband in their motor home. Those who knew and loved her will never forget Nancy.

Services are 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro with Pastor Tim Hall and Brother Jeff Hendricks officiating. Burial is in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation will begin with her family receiving friends from 12:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Volunteer Auxiliary, c/o Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, 1201 Pleasant Valley Road, Owensboro, KY 42303 or to Hospice of Western Ky, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301.
