Max Lee Daniels, Sr., 72, of Owensboro, KY

3sunsetOWENSBORO, Ky. - Max Lee Daniels, Sr., 72, of Owensboro, KY passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Kindred Transitional Care-Hillcrest in Owensboro. He was born March 26, 1941 in McLean County, KY to the late Lonnie "Red" Daniels and Vivian Brooks Daniels. He retired from The Hon Company.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Daniels; son, Max L. Daniels, Jr. of Owensboro; daughters, Mary C. Taylor (Smith Lee) of Lewisport, KY, Sandy Looker (Thomas) of Cross Plains, TN, Sheila Pierce (Donald) of Leitchfield, KY and Jackie Gooley and Cherie Daniels both of Owensboro; twenty grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; brothers, Billy Daniels (Elaine) of Owensboro and Jerry Daniels (Franny) of Michigan; sisters, Sherlene Cook (Carrol) and Linda Bowden both of Livermore, KY and Cindy Daniels of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Private burial is in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro.
