Edith Gilmore Clark, 90, of Philpot, KY

flower03OWENSBORO, Ky. - Edith Gilmore Clark, 90, of Philpot, KY went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 9, 2013, at her home. She was born September 3, 1922 in Daviess County, KY to the late Roy and Nancy Gilmore. She retired from V.E. Anderson and was a lifetime member of Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she served in many roles. Edith was very dedicated to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ewing D. Clark on August 9, 1975, by her sisters, Louise Glover and Margaret Craig and by brothers, Lawrence Gilmore, Randall Gilmore and Beverly Gilmore.

She is survived by two sons, Ronnie L. Clark of Philpot and Roger D. Clark (Connie) of Lewisport; five grandchildren, Travis Clark, Troy Clark, Dwight Clark (Patricia), Kirk Clark (Tamara) and Tonya Ramsey (James); ten great grandchildren; one-step great grandchild and her caregivers and friends, Linda Clark and Irma Mast.

Services are 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western KY, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301 or to the American Cancer Society, 1302 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
