Phillip Gary (Fizz) Winfield, 63 of Calhoun, Ky

5sunsetOWENSBORO, Ky. - Phillip Gary (Fizz) Winfield, 63 of Calhoun, Ky passed away on August 19, 2013 in Elba, Ky. He was born on December 4, 1949 in Daviess County to the late James Thomas Winfield and Mary Blanche McIntyre Winfield. He was retired from Reteck as an operator.

He was member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He enjoyed barbeques, fishing, gardening, mowing lawns and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Winfield and a nephew, John Marshall Simpson.

Surviving are his wife, Pamela Winfield; his children Kenny (India) Lanham of Calhoun, Jonathan (Jennifer) Lanham of Richland, Indiana, Jennifer (Rick) Martin, Billie (Ricky) Smith both of Owensboro; a special granddaughter, Pamadon Rudd; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Wayne (Linda) Winfield, Marty (Robin) Winfield both of Owensboro, Jeff (Darlene) Winfield of Lexington, Patty Simpson of Owensboro, Carolyn (Eddie) Payne of Curdsville and Diane (Bruce) Galloway of Beech Grove, KY; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home from 3:00 to 7:00pm. Wednesday. Prayers will be at 6:00pm. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Visitation at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church from 9:00 to 10:00am. Thursday.

Services will be at 10:00am. Thursday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.

Father Ray Goetz will officiate. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.

The family requests that expression of sympathy take the form of donations to American Cancer Society, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
