Ada Barnett Wilson, 88, of Owensboro, Ky

obit5OWENSBORO, Ky. - Ada Barnett Wilson, 88, of Owensboro passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Ohio County on January 14, 1925 to the late Guy R. Barnett and Ida Helen Roberts Barnett. She was a member of Breckenridge Street United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and served as church treasurer for several years. She retired from General Electric after 37 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jennie Vee Crabtree and Bessie Barnett; and a brother, James Barnett.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Arthur Wilson; one brother and sister-in-law, M.G. and Catherine Barnett of Owensboro; one sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Marvin Sutherlin of Calhoun; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services are at 2:00p.m. on Sunday August 25, 2013 in the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery in Philpot. Visitation will be on Saturday from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. and from 12:00p.m. until 2:00p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
