Ann 'Nana' Leishman, 83, of Owensboro, KY

6sunsetOWENSBORO, Ky. - Ann 'Nana' Leishman, 83, of Owensboro, KY passed away August 27, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born July 23, 1930 in Daviess County, KY to the late Robert and Myrtle Shelton. She was employed as a registered nurse for Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital, retiring after 23 years of employment. She was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Foust Sunday School class. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Jean Baker, Martha Harpe, Ruby Baird and Betty Collins.

She is survived by her son, Jim Leishman, Jr. (Debbie) of Owensboro; daughters, Barbara Ann Peyton (the late Mike) of Philpot, KY and Susan Anderson (Hugh) of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Pam Hagman, Michele Cox, Randy Wahl, Nathan Wahl, Lara Leishman and Jenna Leishman; twelve great grandchildren, Sarah Hagman, Jessica Hagman, Breanna Cox, Brendan Cox, Coleton Cox, Carly Wahl, Hallie Wahl, Lacey Wahl, Buddy Wahl, Shelton Wahl, Ally Reynolds and Walker K. Leishman; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; and sisters, Christine Clark of Indiana and Ida Wood of Texas.

Services are 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2013, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 1120 Woodlawn Ave., Owensboro, KY 42301.
