Nancy E. Phillips, 86, of Owensboro, Ky

obit6OWENSBORO, Ky. - Nancy E. Phillips, 86, of Owensboro, Ky passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at her home. She was born May 9, 1927 in Ohio County, Ky to the late Henry and Neva Harrison. She was employed for 20 years in the Linen Department of S.W. Anderson and was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Phillips, on April 28, 2009. For many years during their retirement, she and Harold enjoyed going to their farm and loved spending time with their grandkids. We will all miss her delicious pies and holiday meals.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, The Reverend Bob and Sherry Phillips of Houston, TX and The Reverend Ron and Beatrice Phillips of Owensboro; five grandchildren, Nicole Phillips, Andrew Phillips and The Reverend Aaron Phillips all of Houston and Adam Phillips and Brittney Phillips both of Owensboro; a great grandson, Jackson Wisehart of Owensboro; a sister-in-law, Martha Jean Evans of Greensburg, KY and several nieces and a nephew.

Services are 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2013, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday and after 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
