Hugh 'Cowboy' Shelton, 87, of Daviess County

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Hugh 'Cowboy' Shelton, 87, of Daviess County, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at his home. He was born July 15, 1926 in Daviess County to the late Ervin H. and Mary Irene McCormick Shelton. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and retired from Daviess County Hospital. He enjoyed reading western books, watching western movies and loved his dog Chico.

Surviving is his Guardian Vickie Pentecost and Theresa Wilson who kindly came to give communion. Also surviving are close friends, Charles and Rita Shocklee, Carole and Ellis Riddle, Ma Bell, Sheryl and Arnold.

Services for Mr. Shelton will be private.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
