Joseph F. 'Joe Pete' Estes, 75, of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Joseph F. 'Joe Pete' Estes, 75, of Owensboro, KY was promoted to glory on his birthday, Wednesday, September 11, 2013. He was born September 11, 1938 to the late Harmon B. and Hattie Mabel Craig Estes. He was a self-employed exterminator for 40 years. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Todd and George Harmon Estes. He attended church at the Salvation Army.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Clara L. Dennison Estes; three sons, Joseph D. , Charles H. 'Chuck' (Fran), and Christopher M. (Heather) Estes all of Owensboro; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; three brothers, Mack, Doug and Tom Estes all of Owensboro; his best friend Vernon Dennison; his uncle, Felix Craig and many nieces and nephews.

Services are 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sorgho, KY. Visitation is from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western KY, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301.
